Job description

The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support business operations in China. This role requires strong expertise in accounting and finance to ensure compliance and efficient financial management in China.

Description
  • Lead and manage the local accounting team, including regular travel to China.
  • Oversee daily cash receipts, credit management, sales posting, and supplier payments.
  • Perform monthly bank, customer, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and accounting standards, including timely month-end closing and reporting.
  • Monitor inventory control, costs, and related variances.
  • Conduct financial variance analysis, simulations, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Manage treasury activities and liaise with banks.
  • Oversee company secretarial matters, regulatory compliance, and legal coordination.
  • Strengthen internal controls, develop SOPs, and enforce control frameworks.
  • Own the annual statutory audit process for Chinese legal entities.
  • Partner with Commercial and Service teams to provide financial support, contract review, demand and supply planning, and commercial performance analysis (sales, COGS, SG&A).
Profile
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in China jurisdiction.
  • Familiar with Chinese regulations and compliance.
  • Required language(s): Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
  • Able to work remotely and independently with some travel to China.
