Job Scope
  • Timeliness in closing monthly accounts and report to management on the financial performance of the Company.
  • Improve department processes. Monitor and evaluate the policies and procedures as part of continuous improvement and provide better information and service to customers.
  • Coordinate with respective department heads to develop annual budget. Monitor the financial result to guard against budget. Highlight variances and identify contingency plans to cover shortfalls if any.
  • Liaison & interaction with auditor on the year-end audit planning, audit financial statements and annual report preparation.
  • Perform tax planning & tax computation prepared by tax agent to ensure accuracy and conformity with tax rules.
  • Monitor the cashflow management of the company and payment approvals.
  • Review month-end adjustments, journals, balance sheet reconciliation, confirmation and reconciliation of inter-company balances, prepayments and accruals as well as schedules to ensure accuracy.
  • Estimate yearly tax instalments and liaise with the tax agent on any tax revisions.
  • Any other duties/tasks as assigned by the Company.
Qualification
  • Minimum Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA or MICPA).
  • Preferably with qualified MIA.
  • Candidates with minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting in a supervision role.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
  • Preferable experience in public listed construction/property development.
  • Computer savvy with fluency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledgeable in accounting system, IFCA is a must.
