Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closing and preparation of financial statements.
Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings.
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Monitor budget performance and analyze variances.
Provide financial analysis and management reports to support decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing and preparation of financial statements.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings.
Financial Planning & Control
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor budget performance and analyze variances.
- Provide financial analysis and management reports to support decision‑making.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking facilities.
- Monitor collections, payments, and credit control.
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions on financing matters.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and financial laws.
- Oversee tax planning, submissions, and liaison with tax consultants and authorities.
- Maintain effective internal controls and financial risk management practices.
Team Leadership & Governance
- Lead, supervise, and develop the accounts and finance team.
- Implement financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support corporate governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- MUST be a registered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, including managerial responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, budgeting, and financial controls, with excellent reporting and presentation skills.
- Experience with accounting systems (SQL), ERP software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
