Job description

* Oversee both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to avoid breakdowns and minimize downtime.

* Coordinate daily maintenance schedules, shifts, and workloads.

* Monitor and respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly.

* Inspect equipment regularly, perform tests, calibrations, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

* Ensure all maintenance operations comply with safety, health, environment regulations and company policies.

* Enforce permit-to-work, lock-out/tag-out, and other safety protocols.

* Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions.

* Ensure quality standards are met in all maintenance work.

Resource & Inventory Management

* Maintain and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.

* Coordinate with vendors, contractors for external maintenance support or specialized tasks.

* Ensure tools and materials are available and maintained.

* Monitor maintenance costs; support budget preparation and cost control.

Documentation & Reporting

* Maintain accurate records: work orders, maintenance logs, equipment history, inspection reports.

* Use a maintenance management system (e.g. CMMS) to track maintenance tasks.

* Provide regular reports on maintenance status, costs, downtime, KPIs to management.

* Identify trends, root causes of repeated failures, and propose corrective actions.
