Job summary
A leading facilities management company in Putrajaya is seeking an experienced professional to manage Building Control Systems (BCS) and ensure compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manage and maintain Building Control Systems (BCS), including Building Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS) related to HVAC, lighting, and power metering.
- Respond promptly to BMS alarms and perform emergency repairs, fault diagnostics, testing, and inspections.
- Conduct scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on BMS and EMS systems and ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Troubleshoot field devices and perform software maintenance including backups, patches, and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system architecture, programming code, test logs, and operational processes.
- Lead and guide BMS technicians in day-to-day troubleshooting, programming, and system configuration.
- Oversee handling of Work Orders, complaints, and control room feedback to improve system reliability and user comfort.
- Support and train site teams on CMMS usage and collect operational data to support audits, GBI RVA, and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor and ensure contractor compliance with PTW systems, safety standards, and SSOW during site activities.
- Liaise with clients professionally to ensure high-quality service delivery and provide technical reports, incident updates, and performance reviews as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities management (especially in general/soft services).
- Strong communication skills in both English and Malay (written and spoken).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities with strong influencing skills.
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with effective people management capabilities.
