Job summary

A leading hotel chain in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a financial controller to supervise inventory management and prepare daily food cost reports. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma or Degree in Accounting and have 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role within the food and beverage environment. Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years working experience in a similar position and F&B related environment.
  • Disciplined and ability to work independently.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise work of the Stores, Receiving and Inventory functions.
  • Prepare and distribute daily food cost report.
  • Coordinate with Food & Beverage and other departments.
  • Report discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze all cost reports and month-end closing procedures.
  • Conduct half-yearly inventory taking.
  • Effectively conduct month-end closing inventory.
  • Verify calculation and accuracy of invoices.
  • Update recipe costing and forecast promotional events.
