Overview

As part of MRC’s support to the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (MPC) efforts to increase the acceptance of Malaysian rubber and rubber products in domestic and international markets, we are focusing on market promotion activities in the rubber sector from upstream to downstream. By leveraging MRC’s experience in marketing and promoting Malaysian rubber and rubber products, we aim to spearhead best practices in domestic and international promotion efforts for the Malaysian rubber industry.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to plan, organize and attend local and international tradeshows, missions, visits or business matching programs.
  • Assist in devising strategies and market feasibility studies for implementing effective international and domestic promotional programs.
  • Manage the development, improvement, and maintenance of online portals and digital systems under the Market Promotion unit.
  • Prepare and present reports and plans for the relevant Committees and stakeholders.
  • Handle enquiries, engaging and maintain good relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Report regularly on activities and progress to the Management team.
  • Support the planning and execution of other initiatives and activities such as online business platform, producing promotional materials, etc.
  • Undertake any other tasks/projects as identified by the CEO, DCEO, Chief of the Division, Director and Deputy Director from time to time.
Requirements
  • A degree in marketing, business administration, or related field is preferable.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital marketing tools.

  • Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

The Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC), formerly known as Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council, was incorporated on 14 April 2000 under the Companies Act 1965 as a company limited by guarantee under the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC). MRC is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities. MRC is tasked with undertaking market promotion of quality Malaysian rubber products in world markets and supports small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through domestic promotion efforts.
