Executive, Cost Control (Marine Operation)

Malaysia Marine And Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd – Pasir Gudang, Johor

Responsible for monitoring and analysing project AWOs, VO, costs and expenditures in ensuring that project budget are used efficiently and effectively by the project management team and project profit are maximised.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The formation/establishment of the project cost baseline in line with contractual scope and responsibility.
  • The formation and establishment of cost baseline for MO in‑house work in line with project need and requirement.
  • The preparation of the detailed working budget upon discussion with Commercial, Procurement, PMT and other relevant stakeholders for management approval.

Monitor and control the evolution of project cost and consult appropriate control measures to ensure all project expenditures meet cost baseline.

Track and monitor the working budget and its execution as approved by Management and raise any potential risk of overruns.

Perform and review project cost performance and provide all stakeholders with regular feedback and advice.

Cost analysis, estimation and forecasting, advise cost trending and forecasting analyses for the project, provide information on cost and budgetary issues related to the project to stakeholders and conduct analysis on actual performance against plan.

Monitor the execution of identifying, assessing, prioritising, and quantifying the project cost risk and opportunities. Execute strategies and tactics to monitor and control the evolution of project risk and opportunities.

Review Input
  • The cost status review and cost reporting
  • The establishment of Project Close Out Reports (Commercial)

Execute and administrate AWO VO management that covers preparation, negotiation, finalisation and compilation of AWO VO.

Update project draft bill and finalise MOA with client.

Maintain project cost database for current project reference and future benchmarking.

Knowledge in project contract functions in the formation of pre‑contracts & subcontracts, administration of post‑contracts & subcontracts, management of change/variations with the client, subcontractors and any other stakeholders including contracts & subcontracts risk.

JOB REQUIREMENT
