Job summary

A leading takaful company is seeking an Executive for Business Development to secure general takaful business in Temerloh, Pahang. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and 5-8 years of experience in the takaful or insurance industry. Responsibilities include recruiting agents, servicing clients, and ensuring compliance. This position targets business production ranging from RM 3.8 to RM 4.2 million.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in the takaful/insurance industry or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit agents in line with annual budget targets and company guidelines.
  • Service existing agents, customers, and corporate clients.
  • Participate in agent sales activities and campaigns.
  • Monitor agent production and collection status.
  • Conduct basic product training and motivation sessions.
  • Support market surveys and business development initiatives.
  • Assist in launching general takaful products and marketing activities.
  • Provide feedback and reporting on market performance.
  • Respond promptly to agent and customer queries and complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in expanding the business portfolio in Temerloh and Pahang territories.

Job Purpose

To secure general takaful business for the state according to specific targets set by the company. Servicing all customers, agents, public sectors or government agencies, corporate organizations and financial institutions that transact general takaful business. Recruit quality general agents of both motor and non-motor to ensure meeting the specific target of general takaful business production of the state
