Job description

General responsibility for New Product, Manufacturing, equipment, process-engineering, Projects management support to GNR company. The responsibility of the position shall also cover the same for the related affiliates of GN Resound in global, which can refer to the company organization chart.

Main Responsibilities and Authority

• Function as the engineering leader of the plant and assume responsibility in global operation serving in a problem solving/team leading role. Understand the P/L impact on the business that result from overall engineering performance.
• Implement engineering operating budget and plan.
• Be a key contributor to the factory management staff; involvement in other functional areas is a must. Capitalizing on improvement opportunities outside of engineering is an important factor to improve the future of the business. Direct the analysis and preparation of all capital projects making sure the financial documents are accurate and justifiable. Forecast capital needs and forward rolling basis.
• General management of the company NPI issues. Make sure successful new production introduction to JBoperation. Identification and selection of existing andnew emerging technology applicable to the company’s business strategy. Ensures a successful simultaneous development of process designs for new product in order to be better product introduction
• General management of manufacturing engineering issues. Make solution for daily production engineering issues. Sets Engineering Development Cycle Time improvement goals & metrics. Drive continuous improvement of company production engineering issues.
• Lead, manage, update and develop engineering, procedures in order to provide working guidelines and direction for the engineering team members.
• Ensure mature and robust processes in Timeliness in Production, Lead team to identity the process improvement opportunity and organize resource to accomplish the target.
• Identifying areas of cost savings and quality yield and productivity improvements, allocate resources in order to drive process improvement projects.
• Setup and maintain BOM, routine in ERP system for new introduction products in order to better product management;
• Release, revise, update and manage product drawing, spec and related product documents in order to produce right product;
• ECR/ECO management for current products in order to keep change under control
• Assess and manage technical risks.
• Maintains staffing levels to assure sufficient capacity to rapidly changing demand.
• Develop and control intellectual property.
• Ensure implementation, adherence and participation to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures by applying to areas of responsibility
• Continuously contribute, develop and implement ideas that improve performance.
• Approve department procedure; Approve department KPI; Approve ECO/RCO, and etc.;
• Activity and resources planning based on assigned projects ( Local site or Global)
• Organize project team with key stake holders

The Person

• Bachelor Degree or above
• Above 7 years related experience in Manufacturing Engineering, NPI Management & Project management
• Good communication skill, can liaise with R&D, GOP management, and Manufacturing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Can analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
• Can coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Team leader skills: can recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Can plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment
