Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure successful identification, execution, and delivery of engineering projects involving low-cost automation and new manufacturing technologies within scope. Collaborate with the Head of Department to establish organizational structure addressing core manufacturing processes and technical training.
  • Provide disciplinary and technical leadership according to corporate governance. Identify, define, and accomplish projects related to core production processes in cooperation with internal and external suppliers.
  • Guide technical experts in the global Corporate Knowledge Networks (CKN) and related groups.
  • Develop strategies to oversee governance over core processes within the regional responsibility of the Technology Hub BMI, aligned with the Operating Model Medical (OMM).
  • Promote collaboration between process development and R&D to enable simultaneous engineering for product and process development, aiming to generate manufacturable new products in line with CoE and division needs.
  • Evaluate manufacturing technology suppliers in the Asia Pacific region to enhance capabilities, especially in innovative process technologies. Provide training concepts and recommendations for technically skilled workers.
Qualifications
  • BSc / MSc / PhD in Material Science, Material Engineering, Chemistry, or Polymer Chemistry, Biochemistry. Prior experience in plastics/materials.
  • Knowledge of plastic polymer properties, especially Polyurethane.
  • Experience conducting proof of concept tests related to material changes.
  • Ability to guide and support R&D teams on material topics.
  • Support lifecycle teams regarding material changes.
