Job summary

A leading agricultural firm in Selangor is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical diagrams and equipment connections. The role involves creating bills of material, performing electrical systems control design, and collaborating with commissioning teams for testing and validation. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and 2-3 years of relevant experience, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Diploma/Graduate Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical schematic diagram using Electrical CAD software preferred.
• 2-3 years experienced with industrial or commercial electrical design or related fields.
• Candidate must be self-motivated and a problem solver who works well within a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Leadership experience is a plus.

Job description

Design control drawing specifically electrical diagrams for equipment connection. Create bills of material for electrical panels and components.

Perform LV electrical systems control design, calculations electrical sizing and based on customer requirements and international regulatory standards, such as UL/IEC/IEEE/AS/NZS.

Maintain and make recommendations to improve existing designs to assist in manufacturability, reduce cost, and improve quality.

Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.

Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Diploma/Graduate Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical schematic diagram using Electrical CAD software preferred. Training will be provided for company design concept with in house type electrical CAD software.
• 2-3 years experienced with industrial or commercial electrical design or related fields.
• Candidate must be self-motivated, ability to work independently and a problem solver who works well within a team organized,
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
