Job summary

A leading technology firm in Malaysia is looking for an experienced EHS compliance officer to oversee the development and implementation of compliance policies related to OSHA and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental Studies with at least 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing. Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and familiarity with compliance software are essential for this role.

Job description

Lead the development and implementation of EHS compliance policies, including OSHA 1944 and EQA 1974.

Stay ahead of regulatory changes and advise management on their impact.

Conduct internal audits and risk assessments (HIRARC, EIA) to spot risks and recommend solutions.

Deliver training and guidance to employees and subsidiaries on compliance best practices.

Act as the go-to person for regulatory authorities and external auditors.

Investigate compliance issues swiftly and maintain through records.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR :

Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or Environmental Studies; certifications like OSH Coordinator, Safety and Health Officer, CePSWaM, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001 are a plus.

Minimum 3 years of EHS compliance experience, ideally in manufacturing.

Solid understanding of laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and attention to details.

Strong communicator and team player who can engage with all levels of organization.

Tech-savvy and proficient in compliance software and Microsoft Office.
