This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of IT systems while supporting various cybersecurity compliance certifications. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including leadership experience, and strong skills in stakeholder coordination. A bachelor's degree in IT or a related field is required, along with knowledge of ITSM tools and cybersecurity frameworks.

Job description

This role focuses on managing IT-related functions within a data center environment. The position is responsible for ensuring IT systems are reliable, secure, compliant, and performing well. It also supports cybersecurity programs, certification requirements, design reviews, and the integration of IT systems with facilities and ELV systems. The role acts as the main IT point of contact for different internal and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Infrastructure

Oversee data center IT infrastructure such as servers, storage, network devices, and related platforms.

Maintain high availability, performance, and scalability of IT services that support data center operations.

Manage ITSM processes including incident, problem, change, and asset management.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for IT systems and services.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

Manage cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.

Operate and monitor security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, access control, and monitoring systems.

Support compliance and certifications including ISO 27001, ISO 22301, SOC, PCI-DSS, TIA-942, and Uptime Institute.

Perform risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response planning.

Design Review & Project Support

Take part in data center design reviews to ensure IT, network, storage, and ELV systems meet operational and security needs.

Review IT-related designs for new builds, expansions, and upgrades.

Ensure integration between IT platforms and facilities systems like BMS, DCIM, EMS, CCTV, and access control.

ELV & Facilities IT Systems

Oversee ELV systems including structured cabling, monitoring, and security platforms.

Work closely with Facilities and Engineering teams on IT and M&E system integration.

Ensure facilities-related IT systems remain reliable and secure.

Leadership & Stakeholder Interaction

Act as the main IT contact for data center–related matters.

Guide and support internal IT teams.

Coordinate with auditors, regulators, customers, and technology partners.

Prepare reports, KPIs, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

8–12 years of experience in IT infrastructure or data center environments, including 3–5 years in a leadership role.

Strong understanding of data center architecture, networking, cybersecurity, and ELV systems.

Experience supporting audits and data center certifications.

Hands‑on experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC, or Jira Service Management is a plus.

Strong leadership and stakeholder coordination skills.

Good knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management.

Ability to review technical designs and align them with business needs.

Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and communication abilities.

Experience working in mission‑critical, 24/7 operational environments.
