We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our growing team in Subang Jaya, Selangor / Mount Austin, Johor Bahru. In this role, you will work hands‑on with data to support analytics, reporting, and data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation. This is a full‑time individual contributor position with strong exposure to modern data technologies and real‑world business use cases.
As part of our 10+ member IT team, you will collaborate with developers, system engineers, and AI practitioners, gaining experience across data engineering, analytics, and applied AI workflows. The role offers two days of work‑from‑home per week, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, and a performance‑based compensation package, which may include 13th‑month bonus (AWS), annual salary increments, and bonuses.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business and operational insights.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs for internal stakeholders.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational databases and data warehouses.
- Work with data warehouses and data marts to structure data for reporting and analytics.
- Integrate data from APIs and third‑party systems into internal datasets.
Python & Automation
- Use Python for data analysis, transformation, and automation tasks.
- Build reusable scripts and notebooks for recurring analytics workflows.
- Assist in maintaining data pipelines and scheduled jobs.
- Work with cloud‑based platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Huawei Cloud, or equivalent) for data storage and processing.
- Use Docker to run and manage data tools or services in consistent environments.
- Support deployment and testing of data‑related services in cloud environments.
Applied AI & LLM Integration
- Assist in integrating LLM‑powered tools or APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, local LLMs) into analytics workflows.
- Prepare datasets for AI/ML or LLM use cases such as summarization, classification, or data enrichment.
- Evaluate outputs from LLMs for accuracy, relevance, and data quality.
Collaboration & Problem Solving
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and AI teams to understand data requirements.
- Troubleshoot data issues, inconsistencies, and pipeline failures.
- Document data definitions, queries, and processes clearly.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of Python for data analysis (e.g. pandas, numpy).
- Solid proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming data.
- Experience working with data warehouses and data marts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Huawei Cloud, or similar).
- Basic working knowledge of Docker.
- Experience consuming or integrating RESTful APIs.
- Interest or exposure to LLM integration or AI‑powered analytics.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Superset).
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Prefect).
- Basic understanding of data modeling (star / snowflake schemas).
- Exposure to ETL / ELT pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
