Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Costing Analyst based in Kulim, Kedah. The role involves providing financial insights, collaborating with teams to drive cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field and ideally have 4 years of relevant experience in a multinational environment. Proficiency in inventory accounting and ERP systems is preferred. Applications are limited to Malaysian citizens.

Job summary
  • Provides financial and process support with oversight to at least one manufacturing site, collaborates with functional teams, and provides analytical insight to support operational objectives
  • Contributes to short term financial planning, ad hoc financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, management and KPI reporting.

Job details:

  • Number of vacancy: 1
  • Salary range: Up to RM 7,000

Job responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the success of manufacturing site by providing analysis and insights on the financial performance of the business
  • Report on operational performance metrics for product costing and inventory management while assisting the business with analysis to drive cost reductions initiatives locally
  • Support the Companys ongoing continuous improvement initiatives
  • The ability to work collaboratively with external auditors to support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and timely resolution of accounting or Sarbanes-Oxley (404) issues
  • Collaborate with IT and other functional leaders to support the implementation of business processes, systems, reporting, and process enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environment, Health and Safety and Responsible Business Alliance policies and procedures that is enforced within the organization

Job requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in finance or related field
  • Ideally 4 years combined experience working for a public listed multi-national manufacturer and / or a accounting firm
  • Extensive working knowledge of inventory accounting and hands on experience performing inventory close related activities
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource management and finance systems
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs
  • Experience in ERP systems (Oracle) preferred
