Job summary

A leading property developer in Malaysia is seeking a Contracts Executive to handle pre-contract and post-contract tasks. Responsibilities include preparation of documents, evaluation of submissions, and dealings with contractors. Candidates must possess a degree in Quantity Surveying with 4-5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and knowledge of Mandarin is a plus. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity taking-off and measurements for pre-contract and post-contract works.

• Liaise with the project/site team on project progress and cost control.

Job description

Prepare quantity taking-off and measurements for pre-contract and post-contract works.

Assist in tender processes, including preparation of tender documents, calling of tenders, evaluation of submissions, and preparation of award recommendations.

Evaluate and process contractors’ interim and final progress claims.

Assess and review variation order (VO) claims submitted by contractors and prepare recommendations.

Assist superiors in documentation, contract administration, and reporting.

Assist in sourcing and procurement activities, including obtaining quotations from contractors and suppliers.

Liaise and coordinate with the project/site team on project progress, cost control, variations, and contractual matters.

Maintain a proper and systematic filing system for all incoming and outgoing contract-related correspondences.

Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as directed by superiors from time to time.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in a related field, preferably in the property development or construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to speak and understand Mandarin is an added advantage, especially when dealing with Chinese speaking suppliers from China.
• Able to work under pressure and deliver assignments within tight deadlines.
• Meticulous, well-organized, and able to work independently or in a team.
