Job description

Demonstrating operational knowledge of nursing procedure applicable to area of assignments guided by evidence-based nursing practices.

Assuming leadership role for others to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities in the unit.

Work as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.

Administrative Functions
  • Strictly adhere to MNB policies and procedures to ensure the nurses’ competencies.
  • Ensure sufficient CPD points for nurses through regular in service programs.
  • Assists in conducting nursing audits to ascertain training needs for nurses.
  • Conducts regular bedside clinical teaching for nursing staff.
  • Exceed the standards and quality set in nursing care.
  • Assist in ensuring completion of competency records within stipulated time frames
  • Assist in teaching BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS as per latest AHA guidelines.
  • Conduct regular emergency response drills in designated supervise areas.
People Management & Developing Others
  • Regularly update and feedbacks to nurse managers regarding staffs’ performance
  • Direct and supervise less skilled nursing or health care personnel or supervise a particular unit.
  • Assist with the orientation of new staff.
  • Facilitate case study/ case presentation in the ward and share knowledge with team members.
