Job description

Our Client is growing across channels and markets, and the company now requires a dedicated Business & Data Analyst to strengthen their analytical capability. This role will bring structure, clarity, and decision‑support across product, sales, marketing, e‑commerce, operations, and leadership.

You will turn raw data into actionable insights, highlight opportunities, reduce noise, and ensure the organisation moves with accurate, timely information.

This is not a traditional reporting role. You will partner closely with multiple teams, work with large datasets, and shape how data is used to support product development and commercial strategies.

1. Data Structuring & Management
  • Clean, organise, and standardise data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Build structured datasets that support analysis across functions.
  • Establish clear data definitions, consistency rules, and reporting hygiene.
2. Insights & Decision Support
  • Analyse business performance across retail, e‑commerce, markets, and internal operations.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, risks, and root causes.
  • Translate data findings into practical recommendations for leadership and departments.
  • Present insights clearly and concisely – focused on action, not volume.
3. Product & App Analytics Support
  • Provide analytical inputs for new product features, experiments, or behavioural insights.
  • Track usage patterns and support product team with performance data.
  • Help define measurement frameworks for new initiatives (funnels, cohorts, retention signals).
4. Cross‑Department Collaboration
  • Support Sales with distribution insights, channel performance, and whitespace identification.
  • Support Marketing with effectiveness analysis, audience insights, and budget allocation clarity.
  • Support Operations with forecasting inputs, demand signals, and anomaly detection.
  • Provide the founder and leadership team with clear, structured decision support.
5. Reporting & Visualisation
  • Build dashboards and recurring reports for key metrics (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Ensure reporting remains accurate, automated where possible, and easy to understand.
  • Maintain a "single source of truth" for critical business metrics.
6. Tools, Systems & Automation
  • Use SQL, spreadsheets, BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Data Studio) or Python to streamline analysis.
  • Improve internal reporting workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to improve data quality and availability.
Requirements
  • 3–7 years experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Insights, or related fields.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Sheets (required).
  • Experience with SQL and/or Python is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
  • Comfortable handling diverse datasets (e‑commerce, CRM, operations, third‑party data).
  • Ability to translate analysis into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience in FMCG, e‑commerce, or multi‑channel businesses is a plus but not required.
