About the role

This role is an integral part of the GBS Financial Technology Team, responsible for the integrity and control of our global processes in GBS Finance. This includes identifying and implementing new processes and automation initiatives, overseeing all aspects of enhancement changes to the applications and process improvements. The role works closely with the Business Process Managers and the GBS Finance organization.

This position reports to the Business Process Manager in the region and will work closely with Business and Process team members, Finance Technology Director, Solution Architects, Support Manager and the GBS Finance organization as well as external application vendors, partners, and consultants.

What will you do
  • Responsibility for the evaluation, support and maintenance of financial applications related to process improvements.
  • Promote and support innovative and extensive use of existing applications and capabilities to drive efficient and effective usage of financial processes and transactions.
  • Participate in and deliver digital transformation projects
  • Interact with business and developers to improve overall functionality, including data integrity, business process optimization and best practice standardization.
  • Participate in financially led projects and initiatives as well as in cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Ensure business process documentations, knowledge articles and training; ensure that materials and sessions are developed and maintained
What experience and skills required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Min 1-2 years of experience within the defined process areas
  • Basic understanding of the finance area and financial principles
  • Experience with ERP (ex IFS), process improvements and Automation is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of business systems relevant for the process areas.
  • Good communication skills and good control of English language (both oral and written)
  • Ability to co-operate across organization lines internally.
  • Experience with developing and conduction end-user trainings an advantage.
  • Familiar with Agile framework and Lean methodologies.
  • Analytical mind and business acumen
  • Fair understanding of finance/accounting concepts
Location

The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur office located at KL Sentral which is a strategic work location with convenience travelling by Monorail, Rapid Kelana Jaya Line, MRT and KTM services as well as easy to get to go by public transportation.
