Job summary

A leading sugar manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled operator for boiler and air compressor processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation, performing regular equipment checks, and adhering to safety standards. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in a related field, and steam boiler driver certification is a plus. This role requires flexibility, initiative, and effective communication skills in a dynamic working environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in boiler or compressor operation.
• Steam boiler driver certification from DOSH is an advantage.
• Proficiency in performing regular checks on equipment parameters.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boiler, steam turbine, and compressor smoothly.
• Monitor pressure, temperature, and equipment condition regularly.
• Communicate with supervisors about any operational issues.
• Perform startup and shut-off procedures for related equipment.
• Get involved in maintenance work adhering to safety regulations.

Job description

Responsible in the operation of Boiler and Air Compressor process and equipment to produce good quality sugar while enhancing energy consumption.

RESPONSIBLITY

1. Responsible for day to day boiler, steam turbine, compressor, and air dryer operation in good and smooth operation
2. Perform regular checking to boiler, steam turbine, compressor parameter such as pressure, temperature, and condition during daily operation
3. Do communicate to shift supervisor or among team regarding any breakdown issue happen during operation
4. Perform boiler, steam turbine, compressor, and air dryer start-up and shut-off
5. Attend any DOSH inspection for CF renewal for boiler
6. Perform boiler water analysis to ensure boiler water parameter are in order
7. Get Involve with repair and maintenance work and ensure to be done in compliance safety and environment requirement
8. Assist in any preventive maintenance and improvement activity
9. Do communicate with production supervisor/ process person incharge regarding issues between process steam and boiler operation
10. Responsible to perform any task given by Superior/ Steam Engineer
11. Responsible to manage all record sheet for boiler, air dryer and compressor and boiler log book
12. To ensure a safe, comfortable and clean working area by periodic maintenance of the areas in and surrounding the Boiler House

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

• Steam boiler driver 1 / 2 from DOSH Malaysia is an added advantage
• At least 1 year (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• IKBN / IKM / ILP Graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Possess initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
