Role Description

At Respond.io, Backend Developers are crucial to driving our company's success in a fast-paced and innovative tech environment.

We are seeking a detailed-oriented individual to join our back-end team, responsible for creating and managing API integrations with our partner's apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Line, and others.

Your tasks will involve creating flexible and strong solutions with a microservices framework, managing real-time data streams, and improving the scalability and reliability of the system. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving challenging performance issues and is enthusiastic about creating communication systems that can handle large-scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web application on top of keeping updated with new trends and best practices that can be reusable for future use.
• Troubleshoot and debug application to deliver a complete and zero known-bug features on time
• Solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges;
• Developing and maintaining integrations to partners APIs and regularly adding more features;
• Collaborate with the front-end team, product team and quality assurance team when new features are made available or one is being deprecated;
• Coordinating with co-developers as well as keeping Chief Technology Officer and Team Leader well informed of the status of development effort;

Qualifications

• University degree holder in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or equivalent;
• At least 3 years experience in NodeJS backend development;
• 3+ years of relevant software experience;
• Track record of software testing and/or development projects;
• Firm grasp of MySQL;
• Great at design patterns and algorithms;
• Good understanding of Application Level Networking and component integration;
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and able to work under pressure;
• Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills to isolate problem/defect areas;
• Good communication skills in English with an ability to clearly explain complex ideas verbally and in writing;
• Nimble and agile team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment;
