Job summary

A leading technology firm in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Engineer responsible for designing and executing electrical instrumentation work. Candidates should have significant experience in PLC programming and HMI graphics development according to project specifications. Responsibilities include conducting tests and liaising with customers and vendors. Candidates must hold a minimum diploma in Electrical Engineering and have at least 2 years of relevant experience, with a willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience.
• Willing to travel outstation/overseas if required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design and execution of electrical and instrumentation work.
• Develop PLC program and HMI graphics as per project requirements.
• Conduct internal hardware & software integrated testing and Factory Acceptance Test.
• Conduct testing & commissioning and Site Acceptance Test at customer’s site.
• Liaise with customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Site troubleshooting for electrical wiring or/and program.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by Manager.

Job description

Responsible for design and execution of electrical, instrumentation and programming work.

Develop PLC program and HMI graphics as per project requirements.

Conduct internal hardware & software integrated testing and Factory Acceptance Test.

Conduct testing & commissioning and Site Acceptance Test at customer’s site.

Liaise with customers, contractors, and vendors.

Site troubleshooting for electrical wiring or/and program.

Undertake any other tasks assigned by Manager.

Experienced in IEC 61131-3 standard PLC programming, mainly Ladder Logic, FBD and Structured Text.

Experienced with PLC, Drive systems, and HMI programming.

Experience with Siemens PLC will be an added advantage.

Possess electrical drawing knowledge.

Competent in process control, process automation through PLC and SCADA/HMI programming.

Qualification & Experience

Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification

Minimum 2 years with relevant working experience.

Willing to travel outstation/overseas, if required.

Able to work with minimum supervision

Experienced in P&ID review and technical specs extraction.

Experienced in automation work for liquid process pumps, valves, sensors.

Experienced in liquid process control sequence and FDS work.
