Job description

Responsible for the design, selection, programming, debugging, and continuous optimization of factory automation production lines, test equipment, and logistics systems;

Independently complete program development, integration, and troubleshooting for PLCs (Siemens/Omron/Mitsubishi, etc.), HMIs, robotics, vision systems, and servo motion control systems;

Lead the preparation and version management of electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, bill of materials (BOMs), I/O lists, and functional specifications for automation projects;

Collaborate with production, technology, quality, and IT teams to complete equipment design, function, and performance management (DFMEAs), production line performance, and cycle time analysis, as well as efficiency improvements;

Develop and deploy MES/SCADA interfaces to enable real-time equipment data collection, traceability, visualization, and remote operation and maintenance;

Develop equipment maintenance manuals, inspection checklists, and spare parts lists, and train production/maintenance personnel to reduce mean-to-return (MTTR) and improve mean-to-time-to-market (MTBF);

Track new technologies such as Industry 4.0, IIoT, digital twins, and edge computing, and promote the intelligent upgrade and transformation of existing production lines;

Strictly implement safety, environmental protection, explosion-proof, CE/UL, and other standards to ensure projects pass internal and external audits.

Manage external automation suppliers and integrators to control project schedules, costs, quality, and risks.

Produce documentation, technical specifications, and best practices to contribute to the company's automation knowledge base.

Undertake other role & responsibilities that are assigned by the company and immediate superior from time to time until full closure.

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLSET:

Bachelor's degree or above in automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, control engineering, robotics, or a related field;

At least three years of full-lifecycle experience in custom automation or process automation projects, with at least two complete project delivery cases;

Proficiency in at least one mainstream PLC (Siemens TIA/Step7, Rockwell RSLogix, Mitsubishi GX Works, etc.) and motion control (Servo, Robot, CNC) programming;

Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT, CANopen;

Proficiency in at least one high-level language (Python/C#/VB.NET) for data acquisition, edge computing, or test script development;

Familiarity with SQL Server/MySQL databases and MES/SCADA system configuration and development (Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, Kingview, etc.);

Experience with robot programming (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Epson, UR) and vision integration (Cognex, Keyence, Halcon, OpenCV) is preferred.

Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 13849, IEC 62061, and IEC 61511, and the ability to independently complete safety circuit design, level calculation, and verification.
