Audit Associate (Junior/Semi-Senior/Senior)
Overview

To undertake the planning and execution of statutory audits. To carry out the audit in accordance with the approved audit plan. To prepare comprehensive audit working papers, audit findings and obtain sufficient and appropriate audit evidence to support engagement partner’s sign-off the client’s financial statements. Manage audit jobs assigned, ensuring all jobs are done diligently and in a timely manner. To review audit working papers and ensure compliance with auditing standards. Identify audit issues and propose practical solutions. Communicating and coordinating with client’s accountant, company secretary and tax agents. Perform ad-hoc/other assignments from the superior which deem to be appropriate and relevant. Follow up debtor aging and collection.

Requirements
  • Possess a recognised degree in a relevant discipline Accounting/Finance and/or a professional qualification e.g CA(M), ACCA, CPA or its equivalents
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for audit junior position
  • At least 1-2 years of experience gained in a professional accounting practice
  • Familiar and good technical knowledge in ISA, MFRS and MPERS
  • Understanding and knowledge of Income Tax, 1967, Companies Act 2016 and other law and regulations governing business entities in Malaysia
  • Reasonable knowledge with accounting software such as Autocount, SQL, Xero, Quickbook
  • Those with experience in using audit software will have an added advantage
  • Good command of verbal and writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with people
  • Good team player who work collaboratively within and across teams
  • To read/write/speak Mandarin is an added advantage
