A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in Quality Management or Engineering, along with several years of supervisory experience. Responsibilities include developing quality control processes, collaborating across departments, and leading the QA/QC team to ensure compliance with industry standards. This role requires excellent analytical, interpersonal, and reporting skills.
Responsible in developing standard operating procedures to inspect and report quality assurance issues.
Monitoring all quality inspection operation that affects quality to assure meeting the external and internal requirements.
Responsible for incoming and outgoing inspecting procedures to assure quality/specification compliance as well as develop effective quality control process.
To collaborate with engineering, production, warehouse, planning and procurement departments concerning design changes and procedures/ processes changes.
To collaborate with operation team for immediate actions on non-conformance products/ processes that reported.
Work together with operation, engineering, supplier quality engineer (SQE) and customers to improve product quality and operation productivity.
Represent and facilitate QA interface with key customers and suppliers.
To lead, develop and supervise the QA/QC team to ensure that quality objectives, efficiency and functions are carried out and met.
To lead the continuous improvement project for QA department to improve product quality and process efficiency.
To identify skill gap of QA staffs, train and develop skills and competency of QA staffs through training, evaluation and monitoring.
To work closely with QA Manager on QA department goal setting, strategic planning, task assignment as well as continual improvement (PDCA).
To collaborate with QMS on internal audit, review of current standards, policies, procedures associated with external standards such as ISO9001,13485, AS9100 etc. to assure all the legal requirements are met.
To prepare or review customer quality performance report to ensure KMWE's quality performance is meeting the target set.
Assure the reliability and consistency of production by performing audit processes and verification for each final output.
To facilitate proactive/ preventive solutions through quality data analysis and quality feedback.
To be a coordinator and lead internal team to conduct RCA for all customer complaints and respond to customer in a timely manner.
Good in systemic control implementation to reduce and eliminate repeated quality issues.
To support improvement plan requested by customers.
Other duties as assigned by QA Manager from time to time.
Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or any related field; or 3 to 5 years of related working experience in supervisory roles and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good technical skills and able to interpret mechanical drawings.
Good knowledge of SPC data analysis, root cause analysis and 8D report.
Good understanding of ISO standards eg. ISO9001 and ISO13485 standards.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions regarding quality.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good reporting and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Words.
