Job description

To manage Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) projects, overseeing the entire Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

Full EPCC Management: Take ownership of all phases—Engineering (design review, technical specifications), Procurement (securing HDD rigs, pipes, materials), Construction (drilling execution, civil works), and Commissioning (testing and handover).

HDD Expertise & Oversight: Lead and supervise HDD projects, ensuring the methodology, safety, and quality of drilling operations (bore path, mud management, equipment usage) adhere to industry best practices.

Budget & Schedule Control: Develop, track, and control the project budget and timeline, ensuring the high costs associated with HDD are managed efficiently to prevent overruns and delays.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all HDD operations comply with local regulations, environmental protection acts, and rigorous QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.

Contract Management: Manage and coordinate HDD subcontractors, resolving contractual issues and ensuring performance meets defined scope.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.

Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent. Certified EPCC Project Manager (CEPC) is a significant asset.

Experience: 5+ years of proven project management experience, with at least 3 years directly managing Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) or trenchless technology projects for utility or telecommunications infrastructure.
