A leading construction firm in Malaysia, is seeking an Assistant Manager - Mechanical & Electrical to oversee and coordinate M&E works at site. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in both English and Bahasa Melayu. Responsibilities include supervising installations, resolving site issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with necessary knowledge of software tools like Autocad and Revit.
To oversee all M&E works carried out by Senior Supervisors, Supervisors, Contractors and vendors at site;
To supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E systems in compliance with approved designs, specifications, and safety standards;
To redesign, adjust, and enhance contractors work programs where necessary to fine tune execution and ensure completion within timelines stipulated in the approved schedules by the superior;
To resolve technical, coordination, and site related issues with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors;
To strategize and assign clear job positioning, supervision areas, and responsibilities to Senior Supervisors for effective supervision of contractors work at site;
To submit architectural certifications to the Billing and Credit Department upon completion of works to facilitate timely progress billing;
To track, monitor, and update all maintenance related expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budget allocation;
To perform quality inspections and ensure materials and workmanship meet the approved specifications and standards;
Tertiary level education in Mechanical/Electrical or any related field;
Good command of written and spoken in English and Bahasa Melayu, conversing in Mandarin would be an advantage;
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Package, Microsoft Project, Autocad, Revit and databases;
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and influence with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and construction site personnel;
Highly responsible and able to in development setting and nature, proactive and initiating, flexible and able to work under pressure;
At least five (5) years of working experience in M&E related works construction, housing and property development;
Strong both hands on and documentation;
Strong leadership, communication and written skills.
