The Job
- Lead BIM execution for assigned projects from concept to handover; own federated model delivery, clash‑resolution and model QA/QC.
- Ensure consultants/contractors meet BIM deliverables and milestone gates.
- Provide timely progress reports, coordination summaries and management briefings.
Standards, CDE & Process Governance
- Develop, maintain and enforce BIM standards, BEPs, templates, naming conventions and data‑structures (ISO 19650 considerations).
- Maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows and digital asset library; drive component reuse and product standardisation.
- Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvements.
- Act as technical lead in inter‑departmental reviews, design coordination meetings and vendor evaluations.
- Prepare BIM scopes of work for tenders and assess BIM capability in proposals.
- Coordinate third‑party BIM service providers and contractors on technical compliance.
- Train and supervise BIM Executives/Coordinators; deliver training and structured knowledge transfer.
- Promote a consistent BIM culture across project teams; establish KPIs and track adoption.
- Support Unit Lead on BIM strategy, resource planning and digital roadmap (integration with planning, cost, ERP, FM).
- Pilot tools/technologies and scale successful digital workflows.
The Incumbent
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural/MEP Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- 3 – 6 years’ practical BIM experience; demonstrable experience with developer or large construction project delivery.
- Proven experience leading multi‑discipline BIM coordination and small teams.
- Hands‑on proficiency in Revit and Navisworks (or equivalent) and familiarity with common data environments such as ACC.
- Strong stakeholder management, documentation and reporting skills.
- BIM Management / ISO 19650 training or certification.
- Experience with clash detection, model QA tooling and BIM scripting (Dynamo, Python) is a plus.
- Experience integrating BIM with cost, schedule or FM systems.
- Strategic thinker with pragmatic delivery focus.
- Strong communicator able to translate technical issues for senior management.
