Job summary

A leading sales organization in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to develop and execute the Annual Sales Plan and lead the sales team to meet targets. Responsibilities include managing department activities, maintaining client relationships, conducting sales meetings, and developing personnel skills. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and a strong background in sales management. Competitive compensation package offered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and establishes Annual Sales Plan and Budget.
  • Leads and manages the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Plans and coordinates activities of the Sales department.
  • Implements policies and procedures for the Sales department.
  • Maintains contact with potential clients and major accounts.
  • Conducts sales meetings regularly.
  • Reviews sales performance of personnel.
  • Proactively manages the sales department.
  • Prepares monthly sales activity reports for management.
  • Performs key personal sales calls and overseas trips.
  • Participates in sales calls to acquire new business.
  • Secures agreements with airlines, corporate, media, and trade.
  • Maintains effective public relations.
  • Trains sales personnel in skills for closing sales.
  • Assists Public Relations in advertising and market research.
  • Thinks creatively to enhance product development.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Prepares and establish Annual Sales Plan and Budget, Forecasting and Sales Turnover.
  • Lead, manage and motivated sales team to achieve sales target
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the Sales department.
  • Implements policies and procedures, directs the Sales department in their effort towards meeting prescribed sales target.
  • Upkeep close contact with potential clients and may service personally selected major accounts
  • Conduct Sales meetings on a weekly basis or as deem necessary.
  • To periodically review sales performance of sales personnel.
  • To be proactive in managing the sales department.
  • Prepares or supervises preparation of monthly sales activity report, daily sales call report, market analysis, special programmes or activities reports for management review.
  • Performs important personal sales calls and overseas sales trips.
  • Participate in sales call with sales team to acquire new business
  • Confers and secure agreements with airlines, major corporate, media and trade.
  • Maintain a good and effective public relation at market place.
  • Train and develop sales personnel skills in presentation, selling, follow up and closing sales.
  • Assist the Public Relations Department in specific areas of work such as advertising, promotion of products and services, market research.
  • To be continuously creative in strategic thinking to enhance and/or develop new product/packages.
