Job summary

Overview
  • Monitor the company's cash flow position and prepare cash flow projection reports to ensure healthy cash flow throughout the year.
  • Research and secure additional banking facilities to support business expansion, liaising with bankers to obtain favourable terms.
  • Assist in setting up the company in Asia, including travel for accounting and payroll purposes, supervising finance staff, and monitoring accounting and payroll records.
  • Prepare full sets of accounts, including journal entries and account reconciliations, adhering to specific deadlines for bonus pay-outs and audit purposes.
  • Prepare and submit monthly management reports with supporting schedules, analysing cost issues and suggesting improvement plans.
  • Prepare and review monthly project analysis reports, performing financial and ratio analysis, and providing commentary on findings.
  • Handle banker acceptance and factoring applications, preparing required documentation.
  • Supervise and guide junior staff in their daily tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as a co-driver of department KPIs and represent the Head of Department during their absence, presenting monthly KPI reports to management.
  • Assist in establishing, enforcing, updating, and improving departmental SOPs, systems, and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate statutory audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, submitting final management accounts for audit within deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate transactions are properly recorded and entered into the accounting system.
  • Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, and other relevant professional authorities to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform other ad hoc accounting assignments as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, or a related field. • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Preferably an Assistant Manager specializing in Finance – General Accounting /Cost Accounting or equivalent.
  • A team player with a strong sense of responsibility, able to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Good problem-solving and supervision skills.
  • English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin language fluency – spoken and written.
