Job summary

A finance and accounting firm in Selangor is seeking an experienced accounting professional to handle data entry, manage accounts receivable and payable, and support monthly reconciliations. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, be fluent in Mandarin for liaising with partners, and demonstrate strong analytical and Excel skills.   • Key in approximately 10-20 data entries daily.
  • Retrieve DDA returns from the bank and upload to the system.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Keying in an estimated around 10-20 data entries each day (around 10-15mins max if used to it).
  • Retrieval and submission of DDA to bank (automated from system, but just got to wait for the system to run. depending on the volume, could be between 30mins to 2hours of just letting the system run).
  • Retrieval of DDA returns from bank and uploading to the system (usually around 20mins a day).
  • Reply some emails from customers.
  • Applying some AR adjustments entries as and when required.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Payable.
  • Support Singapore AR to do bank reconciliation (once a month).
  • Closing reports (once a month- AR Aging, Delinquency, collection ratio).
  • Willing to learn how to prepare, record and reconcile General Ledger.
  • Perform bank related transactions.
  • Ensure a good cooperative relationship through timely and effective communication with business personnel.
  • Other ad-hoc accounting work as assigned by the Management.
Qualifications
  • Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum 2 years’ working experience in handling account tasks.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in Mandarin, as liaison with our China Business Partner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Able to thrive in high volume work and tight deadlines environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dynamic team player and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
