Job summary

A leading property development company in Malaysia is looking for an experienced accounting professional to manage financial statements and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance/accountancy and 7-10 years of experience, preferably in property development. Responsibilities include managing the full accounting cycle, tax planning, and financial reporting. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • At least 7-10 years of working experience; property development industry experience is an advantage.

  • Manage management accounts and financial statements in a timely and accurate manner.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Manage management accounts, financial statements, and reports in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain full sets of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and related documents. Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Financial planning and dealing with bankers/investors for project financing and loan application.
  • Handle tax computations, tax planning, and liaise with auditors and tax agents on audits and tax matters. Ensure that all year‑end statutory audits and tax filing requirements are addressed and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Liaise with company secretary / solicitors on all corporate matters. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities that the company may assign from time to time.
Requirements
  • At least a degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7‑10 years of working experience; experience in the property development industry is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge in accounting, cash‑flow management, audit and taxation.
  • Meticulous, strong analytical skills, multi‑tasking, flexible, and able to work independently.
  • Demonstrates high integrity, proactivity, attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently and professionally.
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively supervise a team of subordinates.
