Job summary

A leading company in the food industry is seeking an Account Executive to join their finance team. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support compliance processes. Candidates should possess an accounting qualification, relevant experience, and proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia. This position offers a structured workload from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, in Selangor, Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • LCCI/ACCA/Diploma/Degree Holder in Accounting or related qualification.
  • Fresh graduate or at least 1 year of relevant experience in Accounting.
  • Good understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in Accounting SQL Software and Microsoft Office.
  • Hands-on, meticulous with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all accounting transactions.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely processing.
  • Prepare and manage Purchase Orders per company procedures.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support payroll processing and timely salary disbursements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain organized filing and documentation systems.
  • Collaborate with team members on finance-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Account Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the company’s compliance and audit processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all accounting transactions.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Prepare and manage Purchase Orders in line with company procedures.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, postings, and accruals prior to monthly account closings.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Maintain organised filing and documentation systems for accounting records.
  • Collaborate with team members on finance-related matters and provide necessary support.
  • Ensure all accounting records are updated and reconciled in a timely manner in the accounting system.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications
  • LCCI/ACCA/Diploma/Degree Holder in Accounting or related professional accounting qualification.
  • Fresh graduate / At least 1 year of relevant experience in Accounting or related industry.
  • Good understanding of accountancy and book keeping.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Proficient in Accounting SQL Software. Knowledge in other accounting software will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, typing and Microsoft Office.
  • Hands-on, meticulous and keen eye for details
