Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable
• Preparing financial statements, reports, and tax returns in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Providing financial advice and guidance to small business clients, helping them make informed decisions about their financial operations
• Liaising with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless financial management
• Continually seeking opportunities to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of the finance function
• Contributing to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
• Mentoring and supervising junior members of the accounting team, as required

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a small practice or boutique firm
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement
• A valid accounting certification or license (e.g., CPA, ACCA) would be highly desirable
