Job description
What You'll Be Doing
  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations, and preparing taxation documentation.
  • Preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Managing the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems using ERP software.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing day‑to‑day financial operation activities, daily banking, bank reconciliation, and generating monthly profit and loss statements.
  • Ensuring accurate balancing of accounts, including the general ledger and sub‑ledgers.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
  • Reviewing and posting journal entries for bank charges, interest, and adjustments.
  • Performing ad‑hoc duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably within the accounting and small practice industries.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications or certifications (e.g., ACCA, LCCI) are preferred.
Language Preference
  • Fluency in Mandarin, Malay, and English is preferred. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for communicating with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
