Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and versatile Accounts & Company Secretarial Assistant to support our finance and corporate governance functions. You will play a key role in ensuring our financial records are accurate while assisting with statutory compliance in accordance with the Malaysian Companies Act 2016. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional looking to build a dual‑skill set in corporate administration and accounting.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Support
  • Bookkeeping: Handle full sets of accounts or specific ledgers (AP/AR) using accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, Xero, or Million).
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank statement reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  • Documentation: Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and credit notes; ensure all supporting documents are properly filed.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of SST filings and provide support for year‑end audit and tax computations.
Company Secretarial Support
  • Statutory Filings: Assist in preparing and filing annual returns and financial statements via the SSM MBRS system.
  • Documentation: Draft basic corporate resolutions (Directors’ and Members’ resolutions) and minutes of meetings.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and update statutory registers (Register of Members, Directors, Managers, and Secretaries).
  • Compliance: Monitor deadlines for Annual General Meetings (AGM) and ensure compliance with the Companies Act 2016.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, ICSA (MAICSA), or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of working experience in an accounting or secretarial environment. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Malaysia’s accounting standards (MPERS/MFRS); familiarity with SSM procedures and the MyCoID portal; proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Soft Skills: High attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines, and strong integrity in handling confidential data.
  • Languages: Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is often an added advantage in many Malaysian firms).
