Job Description
- Lead the engineering team in NPI (new product introduction) projects from concept, through prototyping, industrialisation, validation, and pilot production.
- Oversee process engineering, including development of BOMs, FMEA, control plans, routings, jigs/fixtures, and standard working instructions.
- Manage resource planning, team performance, and development of engineers across disciplines: mechanical, electrical, automation.
- Liaise closely with Quality, R&D, Test, and Production departments to ensure deliverables meet IPC610 standards and customer requirements.
- Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies, targeting yield optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Ensure engineering change control governance (ECN) including change impact analysis and implementation.
- Support escalation handling for engineering and technical issues during production ramp-up or mass production.
- Contribute to strategic engineering roadmaps, technology upgrades, and future capacity planning aligned with company expansion goals.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical).
- At least 5 years of working experience in manufacturing or engineering.
- Experience leading a team of engineers or technicians.
- Good knowledge of PCB assembly, automation, and machine systems.
- Familiar with quality standards like ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610.
- Able to manage projects and support new product introductions (NPI).
- Skilled in problem-solving and improving processes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
