Job summary
A tech company in Mexico is seeking an experienced software tester with over 8 years in the field. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in API testing, database testing, and a strong background in Linux. Responsibilities include writing test plans, debugging issues, and working in an agile environment. Candidates should also be organized, detail-oriented, and able to propose solutions effectively.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience
- 8 + years of experience software testing
- 6 + years of experience with API testing
- Experience API contract testing
- Testing databases, Mongo and SQL
- Linux background (system level)
- Understanding of operating systems
- Experience with coding languages, Python preferred
- Experience in Linux Shell Scripting
- Ability to debug system level issues
- Experienced with agile development methodologies
- Deep understanding of software testing principles
- Understanding of cloud computing and distributed systems
- Familiar with cloud deployment/monitoring tools
- Ability to make decisions and perform risk analysis to maximize coverage based on risk and time
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience writing test plans and test cases and have a quality mindset
- Well organized, creative, and detail-oriented, a self-starter who is capable of identifying problems, taking initiative to propose solutions, and successfully executing plans.
