A leading automotive company in Naucalpan de Juárez seeks a Design & Release Steering Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, and releasing steering components while ensuring compliance with corporate requirements. Candidates should have a strong understanding of engineering processes, quality tools, and experience in the automotive industry. The Design & Release Steering Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of parts for assigned programs. The D&R is also responsible for identifying and implementing design improvements to enhance quality, optimize cost, and reduce weight. The Steering D&R must design parts in compliance with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering the WCR (Worldwide Customer Requirements), ES (Engineering Specification), SDS (System Design Specification), and Manufacturing and Assembly requirements. The engineer is also responsible for supporting steering components integration and launch at the Assembly Plants.The Steering D&R is responsible for evaluating supplier-requested engineering changes to ensure they do not negatively impact manufacturing and assembly processes. The engineer is also responsible for identifying design-related issues (DTCs), defining solutions, and preventing their recurrence.
