A leading automotive manufacturer in Mexico is seeking an Electronic Systems Applications Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and validating electronic systems. The role involves managing all engineering requirements, supporting prototype builds, and ensuring product delivery. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree and has strong skills in communication, leadership, and analytical thinking. Knowledge of relevant tools and processes is preferred. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
The Electronic Systems Applications Engineer is responsible to design, develop, validate and release parts under his/her responsibility for the assigned programs. The Electronic Systems Applications Engineer is also responsible to look for design improvements to increase quality and cost / weight optimization.

Lead the delivery of all engineering requirements, for the electronic modules, per each development milestone, as defined by the Ford product development process.
Manage systems like VSEM, Teamcenter, FEDE, JIRA, AIMS, QED, WERS
Support all vehicle prototype builds, product launch and service issues. Lead supplier teams to support all builds with parts, CRs, and alerts. Support all program builds, lead vehicle level validation testing, and lead team to resolve issues. In vehicle troubleshooting for CAN and LIN ECUs to mitigate SW and HW issues.
Manage product financial status; review proposals to increase/decrease cost and seek approval for those changes via approval process with Ford management team.
Be an interactive and key member of the body control module team, working closely with other electronic modules applications, Core Hardware, Subsystems, Software engineers and supplier team to support the product and develop robust solutions.
Work with the Vehicle Electrical Program Management Team (PMT) and Program Vehicle Team (PVT) to launch the modules during the prototype and production launch phase.
Support the development of robust foundation documents including but not limited to: DFMEA, specifications, D/PVP&R, worse case circuit analysis (WCCA), device transmittals, EMC, etc.
Support technical design reviews (TDR) for module hardware design requirements and module interfaces. Work with suppliers and Vehicle Architecture engineers to package different ECUs in vehicle environment.
Lead cross-functional teams, consisting of vehicle system engineers, other commodity owners, network communications engineers, manufacturing engineers (vehicle operations engineers), and commodity suppliers to drive timely resolution of program specific engineering issues.
Develop solutions as required to revise or add features to the electronic modules as they impact hardware.
Lead electronic modules configuration development and release effort (method 2 and method 3)
Lead resolution of warranty and quality issues.
