A customs consultancy firm in Tijuana seeks a customs compliance expert to manage tariff benefits and security certifications. This role requires a professional degree in Customs and Logistics or related fields, along with 1-3 years of Import & Export experience. The ideal candidate should be proficient in English and have a high-level understanding of supply chain processes. This position is critical for supporting compliance with internal labor regulations and company values.

Formación

  • 1-3 years of Import & Export experience required.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English (60%-80% preferred).
  • Experience in shipping apparel, textiles, or similar products.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze tariff benefits and apply procedures per strategy.
  • Manage tax customs and security certifications in multiple countries.
  • Supports programs related to Internal Labor regulations.

Descripción del empleo

Basic US Customs Compliance, Special programs 9802, 9801 Analyses the different tariff benefits and their application through procedures established in accordance with the department's strategy (Eighth Rules, Free Trade Agreement, PROSEC). Audits customs documents and validation procedures. Manages, implements, and maintains tax customs (VAT/IEPS, etc.) and security (CTPAT, OAS, etc.) certifications in several countries, as well as those applicable to companies with the IMMEX program. Performs requested reports and analyses on the operation and established metrics. Supports all programs and initiatives related to the Internal Labor regulations and values of the company.

  • Professional degree in Customs and Logistics, International Business, Administration, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of Google computer products.
  • 1-3 years of Import & Export experience.
  • Required Knowledge of Annex 24 and 30.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Preferred 60%-80%
  • High-level understanding of materials flow - Supply Chain.
  • Experience shipping apparel, textiles, drinkware, or similar products.
  • Preferred Proactive engagement.
  • Able to make decisions using the data provided.
