A PR & Marketing Executive plays an important role in assisting the Line Manager in achieving key objectives in line with the annual marketing and PR plan, current initiatives, and relevant activities. The marketing and PR team performs an integral role in bringing together all function areas to ensure commercial targets are heightened. The executive role involves managing individual projects relating to marketing, media relations, internal communications, and performing day-to-day administrative duties.
What will I be doing?
As PR & Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the results of the marketing plan and activities used by the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to all relevant target markets, and address hotel business needs. Specifically, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Coordinate and assist with delivering all agreed marketing and PR strategies, monitor ongoing campaigns, and report performance as directed by the Line Manager.
- Support the Line Manager by developing and implementing promotional activities, collateral, in-house merchandising, and maintaining the hotel’s media library.
- Promote the hotel’s marketing activities to the media, including food and beverage, rooms, and event promotions.
- Support internal communication activities such as regional updates, press releases, newsletters, and speeches for executives.
- Support all marketing and PR activities, including events, sponsorships, merchandising campaigns, exhibitions, and inspections.
- Assist with media relations, social media tracking, press kit updates, news archive management, and media visit coordination.
- Organize media familiarization trips and entertain local media where appropriate.
- Assist with on-site photoshoots and hotel filming, ensuring all approvals are obtained.
- Monitor and support social media activities, ensuring brand standards are maintained.
- Support the growth of loyalty marketing activities with HHonors and other schemes.
- Implement marketing and PR content, manage translation and photography, and optimize online presence.
- Respond to customer postings, addressing complaints and issues.
Managing Execution
- Support content management across channels like websites, OTAs, social media, and partnerships.
- Develop reports on activities, results, and next steps.
- Maintain and grow hotel databases for targeted campaigns.
- Stay informed of local news affecting hotel business and inform management promptly.
- Assist in developing reports on marketing and PR initiatives.
- Review third-party website content for standards and accuracy.
- Conduct competitive analysis and maximize compatibility with PR efforts.
- Ensure proper marketing and PR archives are maintained.
- Support management in projects, including budgeting.
- Assist with crisis communication as directed.
- Achieve performance goals set by the Line Manager.
Developing Talent
- The role focuses more on self-development rather than team development.
Building Relationships
- Establish and maintain effective communication with all hotel disciplines.
- Build relationships with Hilton personnel, media, community organizations, government officials, and suppliers.
- Work effectively within the team and support all hotel departments.
