A dynamic technology company in Indonesia is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to deploy advanced monitoring systems used in underground mining. The role involves installing and troubleshooting hardware and software, providing technical support, and conducting product demonstrations. Candidates should have 2-3 years of relevant experience and a degree in IT or related fields. This position requires frequent travel and strong hands-on skills. Formación
- 2-3 years of experience in field engineering, system deployment, or technical support roles.
- Experience in mining environments; underground experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working in industrial field conditions.
Responsabilidades
- Deploy products and accessories at customer sites.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Provide first-line technical support both on-site and remotely.

Join Geobotica as a Field Applications Engineer and support the deployment of cutting-edge monitoring systems used in underground mining and geohazard risk environments. You’ll be part of a fast-moving technology company working at the intersection of remote sensing, robotics, and geohazard monitoring, helping keep people and infrastructure safe from collapses, subsidence, and landslides.
- Deploying products and accessories at customer sites, primarily in underground mining environments
- Installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking systems
- Performing basic mechanical assembly and field adjustments
- Running on-site and remote product demonstrations, customer training, and onboarding
- Providing first-line technical support, both on-site and remotely
- Escalating complex technical issues to internal engineering teams
- Traveling within Indonesia and internationally for deployments and training
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Geodetic Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field
- (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 2–3 years of experience in field engineering, system deployment, auto-electrician, surveyor, or technical support roles
- Experience working in mining environments; underground experience strongly preferred
- Strong hands-on skills with electrical systems, computers, and basic networking
- Comfortable working in industrial field conditions
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Willingness to travel frequently
Nice To Have(s):
- Relevant industry or safety certifications related to field or industrial operations are a plus
- Experience with industrial, surveying, or sensing equipment is an advantage
