Job description
Supervising Utility Operations
  • Supervise and monitor the performance of all utility systems.
  • Ensure systems are operated within standard parameters to support uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Ensure effective SCADA/BMS monitoring and response processes are in place.
Maintenance Management
  • Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans for all utility equipment.
  • Coordinate regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to avoid downtime or equipment failure.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and calibration services.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Manage a team of utility technicians/operators; schedule work shifts, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and on‑the‑job training to enhance team competencies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
Energy Efficiency and Cost Control
  • Monitor and analyze utility consumption and implement energy‑saving programs.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Lead initiatives to improve equipment efficiency and reduce environmental footprint.
Project & Asset Management
  • Lead utility‑related infrastructure projects including upgrades, expansions, and installations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and report on project progress.
  • Ensure timely execution of projects with adherence to budget, safety, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of utility equipment, layout drawings, SOPs, and asset history.
Compliance, Audit & Safety
  • Ensure all utility operations comply with government regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare for and support external and internal audits.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Monitoring, Reporting & Communication
  • Prepare regular reports on utility performance indicators (KPIs), maintenance activities, breakdowns, and project progress.
  • Communicate issues and proposals effectively to Engineering Manager, Plant Manager, and other departments.
  • Ensure coordination with production, QA, and HSE teams for integrated plant operations.
