We are recruiting for a highly regarded international school in Indonesia, located on an impressive 44‑acre campus in the vibrant city of Jakarta. The school is a welcoming, inclusive community representing over 50 nationalities and providing education for students aged 2 to 18 years.

Situated in South West Jakarta, the campus offers outstanding facilities that support academic excellence, wellbeing, and innovation. The curriculum begins with the UK Early Years Foundation Stage and continues through a blend of the English National Curriculum, inquiry‑based learning, and internationally recognised frameworks in Primary, before progressing into the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career‑related Programme (CP) in Secondary. The Primary School places strong emphasis on inquiry, wellbeing, and the development of confident, independent learners.

The Role

Following an increase in student enrolment, the school is seeking an experienced Teacher of Primary to join the Primary faculty from August 2026. This role is suited to a reflective and enthusiastic practitioner who can deliver high‑quality learning experiences within an inquiry‑based framework and contribute positively to a collaborative, forward‑thinking team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of, or experience with, curricula such as the English National Curriculum, International Primary Curriculum (IPC), IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), or similar international frameworks, and show a strong commitment to continuous professional learning.

Key Responsibilities

The Teacher of Primary will plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that support academic progress, curiosity, and wellbeing. Teaching will be underpinned by inquiry‑based approaches, enabling students to develop critical thinking, independence, and a love of learning.

The role includes assessing and monitoring student progress using a range of formative strategies, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching to meet the needs of a diverse student population. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues within the Primary School, contributing to curriculum development, moderation, and professional dialogue.

Active participation in the wider life of the school is expected, including involvement in pastoral care, enrichment activities, and school events that support the holistic development of students.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should hold a relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE or equivalent, with a minimum of five years relevant teaching experience. Experience teaching within an international or inquiry‑based Primary setting is strongly preferred.

The school is seeking a teacher with outstanding classroom practice, strong subject knowledge, and a proven track record of high‑quality teaching. A commitment to lifelong learning, engagement with educational research, and enthusiasm for staying at the forefront of pedagogical development are essential qualities for this role.

  • Comprehensive international medical insurance (excluding the U.S.)
  • Housing and cost‑of‑living allowance
