The HMA Group of Companies specialises in the supply of Material Handling Equipment, Wear Resistant Linings, Boiler Maintenance, Instrumentation and Valving Solutions. Our wide range of equipment is used across many industries including Process, Power Generation, Mining, Water, Petrochemical and Oil & Gas.

Position Overview

The HMA Group, a multi-disciplined engineering and project management organisation, is looking for a talented Production Planner to join our Wear Solution division in Jakarta, Indonesia. The key objective of this position will be to support the greater sales team in all aspects of drafting to produce both sales related concepts and manufacturing drawings suitable for production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Indonesian team in the agreed direction of Wear Solutions Operations Manager – Australia.
  • Work with and report to the various Production Managers around Australia to ensure all delivery schedules and lead times are maintained to meet client expectations.
  • Process orders – planning sheets, flange sheets, all materials required, sub‑contracting (e.g., pressings, painting).
  • Use the company ERP/CRM to input labour, materials and control stock.
  • Purchase job‑specific materials and services and liaise with sub‑contractors, suppliers, stores, accounts and management.
  • Monitor production to resolve issues.
  • Maintain stock levels for all stocked materials required for the manufacture of our equipment.
  • Check drawings and manufacturing check sheets to assist with manufacturing issues.
  • Achieve an objective of no rework due to the delivery of quality work.
  • Achieve any KPIs implemented and agreed upon for this position.
  • Project management includes working to contract requirements, developing and updating master pack lists, controlling registers (e.g., RFI), completing progress reports, coordinating packing and dispatch and housekeeping of project documents and files.
  • Compile MDRs and ITPs.
  • Direct management, supervision and training of all Wear Solutions Production Planning Resources in the Indonesian Office.
  • Ensure, influence and empower all planners to execute their role and use initiative for problem‑solving to ensure all performance targets are achieved.
  • Drive a culture consistent with HMA values and goals.
  • Provide clear direction and set expectations for planning methods under your responsibility and provide input into necessary tools to improve our processes.
  • Deliver pre‑ and post‑contract services and ensure that the quality of output of the production from HMA is in line with the needs of the customer and regulatory authorities.
  • Create a healthy team environment by harmoniously working with your peers.
  • Always maintain the best interests of the Company.
Core Competencies and Skills
  • Minimum of 2‑4 years’ planning experience in a supervisory level with production in an engineering environment.
  • Minimum of 1‑3 years’ experience with piping systems.
  • Strong computer skills around the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Effective time management.
  • Ability to work within the company’s QA system and Code of Business Conduct.
  • Fluent in English with good verbal, written, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong engineering background.
  • Hands‑on attitude, self‑thinking, drive to get projects completed on time.
  • Solid understanding of engineering and technical principles with the ability to communicate details and objectives within factory‑production teams, operation teams, drafting teams, project management teams, sub‑contractors and clients.
