Job description

The Production Manager will lead the production and food safety standards for the Indonesia snack business, ensuring all production lines run properly and meet company safety, quality, efficiency and financial performance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and Set Up production & Food Safety standards in the Manufacturing Plant to align with the PepsiCo Food Safety standard and policies such as AIB, PepsiCo Food Safety Program, FSSC22000 certification, etc.
  • Part of the Supply Chain (Manufacturing) Leadership Team, providing ideas and suggestions and aiding decision making to establish and deliver PepsiCo’s short and long‑term business goals.
  • Building the annual operation plan (AOP) and forecast for production based on the sales demand such as: headcount, third party, productivity, efficiency, operating expenditure (OPEX), capital expenditure (CAPEX).
  • Deploy and lead implementation of production plan such as quarterly and monthly based on Sales and Operation plan (S&OP), weekly based on Sales & inventory plan (SIP).
  • Manage production to ensure the product quantity to be met production plan based on PA planning.
  • Control product quality as product design issued by QA and food safety regulation. Reduce the quality cost by analysing the non‑conformances on periodic basis and also by following suitable actions (both corrective and preventive).
  • Manage production with most efficient utilization of the available sources for production: raw materials, packaging materials, manpower, machine utilisation, energy, water based on approval budget.
  • Improve the productivity level of production team on continuous basis by training and coaching production supervisors and staffs about productivity mindset and behaviour.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of appropriate cost saving ideas for production operations. Generate and lead the implementation of ideas for continual process improvement.
  • Work with maintenance team to fix machine issues to meet the production plans and deliver production efficiency, productivity.
  • Monitor activity in production follow process, system, and guideline such as: I2C, GMP, AIB, 5S, ISO.
  • Responsible for mass recruitment of the whole team in Production, coordinating with HR Function to strategise and execute the recruitment plan, in interim before Plant Manager is recruited.
  • Drive a strong people agenda – role modelling and championing PepsiCo behaviours and values; building a robust talent pipeline with a focus on diversity and inclusion; building supply chain capability; creating a cultural of performance accountability and establishing a customer‑oriented culture.
  • Undertake all duties in accordance with company environmental policies, procedures, and support continual improvement in environmental systems and performance as outlined in PEP+ Agenda.
  • SAP Super User for production area.
  • Be role model PepsiCo Values, Behaviours, and Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Food Technology, etc.) or a related technical discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced certifications or training in Food Safety, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or Supply Chain are considered an advantage.
  • Solid professional foundation in manufacturing operations within the Food or FMCG industry.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations, preferably within food processing or FMCG environments.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or plant management role, with demonstrated accountability for production performance, people leadership, and operational results.
  • Proven experience managing complex manufacturing operations, including multiple production lines, shifts, and large teams.
  • Strong exposure to production planning, cost control, continuous improvement, and audit management.
