Job description

In this role, you will support the installation, operation, and continuous improvement of a secure monitoring infrastructure in a security‑critical IT environment. You will contribute to the maintenance of secure monitoring systems, ensuring operational stability, and supporting incidents and changes, thereby enhancing service reliability according to IT service management best practices.

Accountabilities

• Install, configure, and operate secure monitoring infrastructure in regulated environments
• Deploy and maintain monitoring agents across distributed systems
• Perform testing and installation of patches, updates, and system enhancements
• Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of monitoring services
• Provide operational support for the monitoring platform and related tools
• Handle incidents within 1st and 2nd level support
• Create and maintain operational and technical documentation

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable field, or completed vocational IT training
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional IT experience
• ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4) or equivalent Service Management experience
• German: C1 (CEFR) and English: B1 (CEFR)
• Minimum 3 years operating monitoring infrastructures (e.g., CheckMK or comparable tools)
• Minimum 3 years experience with Linux (RHEL or equivalent) and Microsoft server operating systems
• Minimum 3 years experience with Python scripting or automation
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
