This is a part-time, contract opportunity. We are adding Lead Instructors: Cybersecurity to our Expert Network in anticipation of projects launching this year and next. You will participate in our interview process and be added to our Expert Network. Once approved, you will have access to opportunities to support projects, programs, and learners.

Job Summary

Lead Instructors are responsible for delivering high-quality, live, virtual instruction and partnering with company personnel to drive exceptional learning outcomes. The role involves conducting large synchronous online lectures for 100 to 8,000+ diverse learners, preparing and leading virtual classroom sessions, collaborating with operations staff, and contributing to overall program success.

• Prepare and lead virtual classroom sessions for large cohorts (typical range: 200 to 8,000+ learners).
• Deliver instruction tailored to learners’ needs, including math, verbal reasoning, and technical problem-solving.
• Manage Q&A, monitor chat flow, and maintain class energy and engagement.
• Collaborate with operations personnel to ensure smooth program delivery and adherence to schedules.
• Contribute to classes during weekdays and/or weekends as program schedules vary.
• Assist in lesson design, development, and improvement, including tracking edits or curriculum changes as needed.

Your expertise

• 3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Degree in a technical field
• CompTIA Security+ or related certifications (e.g., CISM)
• Previous teaching experience, preferably remote
• Experience training learners on foundational technical skillsets
• Excellent educator with a passion for teaching and helping others
• Strong team and people management skills
• Experience with Unix terminal and cybersecurity-related applications
• Familiarity with Networking, Kali Linux, Endpoint security, and related topics
